About Tom

Hi there, I’m Tom!

I’m the Co-Founder and Organizer of ShipItCon, and founder of Rural Ireland Tech Advocates (Rita).

I strongly believe in the power of community and feel that it’s my duty to help existing communities grow while fostering new ones. Life is short. It’s my goal to help as many people as possible by using my privilege to lift others up, help people get started in their careers and mentoring them throughout their career.

I’m currently working as an Automation Engineer at DIGIT Gaming. Previous roles include; Systems Engineer and D&I Advocate at Riot Games, Build Engineer at Demonware (Activision), System Automation Engineer at Oracle and Java QA Engineer at Sun Microsystems.

I’m also a Docker Captain and have been involved in expanding the Docker community in Dublin since 2014.
